Spotlight on Caydence Guitars Dry Transfers

Dry transfers are great for branding items that are often handmade. It is another way of adding a bespoke touch and can be a professional final finish. Manufacturing and craftsmanship in the UK are enjoying a time in the spotlight, and as such, we want to share a success story of our own with the team at Caydence Guitars.

Proudly based in Yorkshire, Caydence Guitars are handcrafted by a small team of four luthiers and are available in over 100 colours, but each is truly unique. Sold online primarily through their website, as well as through another local business, Guitar Galleries in Beverley.

Supporting Fellow UK Businesses

Caydence Guitars had previously used dry transfers from another supplier, who unfortunately closed, but were pleased to discover us through a Google search.
The team told us: “Since then, we’ve been consistently impressed; every order has arrived the very next day which has been fantastic for our workflow.
We use your dry transfers for our logos on the front of each guitar headstock, along with a “Made in Yorkshire” decal on the back. Traditionally, guitar logos were applied using waterslide transfers, but these can be difficult to work with and, over time, may leave visible outlines as the lacquer settles. Your dry transfers, by contrast, are quick and easy to apply, look fantastic, and remain clean with no unsightly edges.
As we expand our range of guitars, we plan to introduce different coloured decals for each series to help distinguish them.”

Using Dry Transfers for Branding

If your logo is vector based, or created in a program like Adobe Illustrator, Affinity or CorelDraw it could be recreated as a dry transfer. By outlining the fonts, shapes and lines, your artwork can duplicated and made into a sheet of dry transfers to use on flat surfaces, like guitar bodies. These can be up to four colours and applied as instructional type text to logos or ‘proudly made in’ type logos for your county or country of origin.
